He played a trans woman once in a film which managed to be even more antagonistic to trans people than Silence Of The Lambs was.
Actors don't write the scripts they perform. Actors do not believe the lines they say, they are not the people they portray. They are people getting paid to perform,
Acting is a job, and the vast majority of actors do not have the financial means to pick and chose.
I do not know the movie you are angry about, when was it made?
Where are you reading anger?
If you don't see it in yourself, that is a bigger problem.
Over his career Mr Caine has appeared in 130 movies.
What were you hoping to achieve with your first comment by focusing on one role?
This person is just a troll, you can feel free to ignore them cause they're only trying to get a reaction out of people.
I knew that, sometimes it is better to counter their bullshit with a couple of replies. Not that I expect them to admit their trolling but for others reading the thread.
What are you talking about?
People up and down this thread mentioning various roles of his.
You seem prickly about this one for some reason. Wonder why that is.
You brought it up out of no where for some reason. I assumed you were unhappy with it as well.
I brought up a role of dude's in a thread where people where bringing up roles dude's had.
The reason was we are discussing Michael Caine?
Which film was this?
1980's Dressed To Kill. There are less enjoyable films which talk out their ass on trans topics than this one. It is simply horrible, obviously, but parts of it are fun.
You can watch it here.
Wiki says it's a box office success with largely favourable reviews as well as best new actress and a Razzie for robocop's partner, lol. Dunno how I deal with violence towards women even in movies to be honest as the short blurb says there is ... but maybe I'll see if I can carve some time out to see it.
Oh no like, there's sexual violence to an extreme degree in that film. Don't go in there unprepared for that.
The first scene is a sexual assault (not the last of the film), and it just ramps up from there.
With the murder, sexual exploitation, and comically bad trans rep it is slashy and trashy enough to slice right off the log.
No one cares.
You need a hug, man?
Sounds like you had a rough day.
Wanna rap about it?
I don't know if this is some weird, standard response you give when you're not sure how to respond to people, but nah, I'm good on the hug front.
I'll attempt to help you out: when people don't care about things you care about, it doesn't mean they're having a bad day. It simply means they don't care about the things you care about.
Nah man, I get not everyone cares about what I care about. They tend to keep scrolling.
The dude who feels the need to draw attention to himself, spitting out "no one cares!" like a 3rd grade problem kid squealing "What a dwe~eeb" 'cause he doesn't know how to make friends is probably having a bad day.
I'll reiterate: Do you wanna talk about it?
Seems you want attention so what's up?
Why you care so much announce how little you care about one of the dude being discussed's roles?
It's a teenage thing.... Feeling like other people are just annoying and frustrating.
I apologize if I struck a nerve. That wasn't my intent.
