Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Most people multitask with long video essays so you dont need time.

Like, I've "watched" Hbomb's Pathologic video a good four? times but Ive only really focused on it once.

personally i dont gain anything by putting explainer videos on in the background so i dont bother

I'm inclined to agree... Love this guy's channel, but Goddam I can't stand when they stretch topics out to such an absurd level.

I quit watching Some More News altogether because of this and I freaking LOVED my Cody Showdy.

Long good. Comforting. Can put on while I do other stuff.

It seems to be an acquired taste

I treat video essays like podcasts though

Meme stock cults are one of those things that I think needs a movie-length explanation in the same way Qanon does. There's not only so much danger to what it represents, but if you don't know extensive background it's gibberish. I've watched both since their inception and they're still alien to me.
