Those who think it's a good idea, consider this.

Mastodon can be federated with Lemmy.

TruthSocial is running a modified instance of Mastodon.

Do you really want those or any other neighbors dropping in, unmoderated, or rather, moderated according to their own standards?

This might be a dumb question, but what is the difference between Lemmy and Mastodon federation vs federation between two Lemmy instances, for example?

Lemmy is like Reddit
Mastodon is like Twitter
Matrix is like Discord
