try surviving razor leaves or a hydro pump irl

Better odds of surviving until hospitalisation than eating a Flamethrower or Fire Blast

Razor leaf is like having hundreds of knives thrown at you simultaneously. Hydro pump you basically die almost instantly. There’s a reason water jet can be used to cut metals.

The water jets they use to cut metal only work because the stream is so narrow. Hydro pump is more like getting hit with multiple full-blast fire hoses at once

Blastoise Pokedex entry reads as follows: "The rocket cannons on its shell fire jets of water capable of punching holes through thick steel."

and the entry of Mega Blastoise: "The cannon on its back is as powerful as a tank gun. Its tough legs and back enable it to withstand the recoil from firing the cannon."

I'm pretty sure thats enough force to kill someone instantly.

enough force to kill someone

It's never enough to kill you. A water jet comparable in power to a tank shell hits you in the face, you're maybe gonna faint at worst. A literal God brings down the fury of heavens upon you, and you're just knocked out cold with a bruise that the local ER can heal free of charge.

What do you think a water jet strong enough to cut steel is going to do against flesh and bone?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This explains it in great detail

Except it's saying the opposite? That comic is making fun of the game because no matter how deasly the attack is the pokemon on the receiving end will only faint.

That was the joke he was making the first time and you didn’t get it so he slapped you over the face with it and you’re still not getting it.

Would do you well to actually look at the name of the commenter sometime to not insult the wrong person, yea? And I'm pretty sure you don't actually understand the comic.

BUDDY

My guy, he didn't get the name wrong. The comment was meant for you

Found this article about this Turtles with cannons: an analysis of the dynamics of a Blastoise’s Hydro Pump

I don't know if it's right but interesting nonetheless

A firehose for comparison is usually minimum 200psi. Close up would hurt really badly but the chances of dying aren't great. At 20ft away you'll just get really wet. Their numbers aren't wrong but the analysis of what the numbers mean is probably pessimistic for the Charizard.
