If you want to cede ground in those places out of a sense of purity by all means that is your prerogative.
No one is there.
All joining does is seed a new capitalist owned platform instead of making community driven platforms more appealing with numbers and content.

You don't have to do it, nobody does. I fail to see how giving free invites for comrades to dilute the liberalism of this budding platform is anyway negative.
