Me explaining socialism to an American: “So imagine a burger…. if the economy was a burger you’d get just one pickle but the ruling class already have almost the whole burger, and fries, and soda. But slowly but surely, the ruling class is seeing your pickle slice and he really wants that pickle slice. He will leverage the fact he owns the restaurant to rewrite the rules so he has more of a claim to that pickle slice. Socialists are against this and think you should have your own burger.”
