Having recently seen the first trilogy among Nolan's works, I wonder what opinions you hold about the movies in general. Seeing that I'm quite late to the party, I expect some strong and mature takes in the comments, but you are still free to voice any opinion you may have.

tim burton's second batman was way better than the first, worth trying. danny devito nailed it as the penguin, christopher walken was an amazing corpo ceo slimeball, and michelle pfeiffer still the best catwoman

the rest of the pre-nolan movies were all steamy diarrhea. one of them actually wrecked chris o'donnell's career

    The original '89 Batman is still dope. I'm surprised @DigDoug@lemmy.world didn't like it.

    What was off? Michael Keaton is one of those actors that I think can hold an audience even with weak material, and I didn't think that was weak material at all. And that's before we even get into Jack Nicholson's Joker. Was it bad? Or did it just feel boring or something?
