Having recently seen the first trilogy among Nolan's works, I wonder what opinions you hold about the movies in general. Seeing that I'm quite late to the party, I expect some strong and mature takes in the comments, but you are still free to voice any opinion you may have.

They are fine. The worst thing about them is Bale and his weird BatVoice. Sounds exhausting lol.

Anyway, might be unpopular opinon but I liked the 2022 Batman with Robert Pattinson better.

My only issue with the 2022 Batman is that Batman basically does nothing. He doesn't figure out the riddlers clues or plan, and constantly messes up. It would have been better if he had a win or two throughout the movie.

I think that sort of stuff was in there to make it clear that he is still very much learning. He did get quite a few things correct, I think the only things that led him off was the silly "rata el rada is penguin" thing and not figuring out the carpeting tool.

But I do agree, they could have maybe toned down some of the silly mistakes a bit. The rat with wings was completely stupid thing to make him miss it. Bats are widely known as rats with wings, penguins are not at all lol.

I got that he is supposed to come off inexperienced, the issue is that I'm not sure the plot of the entire movie changes much if he were removed from the events.

He never solves the riddlers riddles, he has to be told the answer (which the riddler might have told to anyone at that point). He does disarm the shooters at the very end, but he doesn't stop any killings/assassination attempt/flooding. It could be argued that maybe the politican would have been successfully killed if he didn't stop the riddlers henchmen (I don't think the shooter misses because of Batman, but can't recall). Additionally, he was the one that really set off the falcone plot point, which may have been dealt with very differently if he didn't get involved.

Same opinion on the voice thing. He probably used to take a dozen cough pills every morning after doing that fake cringey voice at night as Batman.

I have yet to watch The Batman, but I'll be looking forward to it since I've been a fan of Robert Pattinson's performance in the last few Nolan's movies.

Richard Harris did a similar thing in Cromwell (1970). Though he did the voice by actually breaking his voice. Bale probably broke his voice for putting the voice on lol.

Anyway, Harris' voice was excellent in Cromwell. Bale's voice was silly in Batman.
