Unrelated note, a battery powered circular saw with a low tooth count carbide blade is the fastest way to chop through a large diameter metal pole. Diablo blades are regarded as the toughest and fastest cutting blades, they can last through a LOT of metal poles or pipes, but they come at premium.

    I was kinda surprised that the circular saw (aka skilsaw) was the most effective. I would have thought a specialized angle grinder to be the most effective but it makes sense that something with a larger blade and more torque with the right blade would be best.
