    Almost no bugs now, until we get a good bit of rain. No bugs to speak of for a month here. Or longer. I am leaving my door open with no insect intrusions.

    Also, where I am, early spring might not have many parasitic insects, but there are explosions of ticks, wood tick types, they don't generally carry disease but still. After it dries out in the summer there are like none now.

    Plus spring has tons of cold snaps here. We get leaves later than moscow even though they are way north.

    That sounds nice. Where I am there are lots of mosquitos, flies, bees and wasps from late spring until we get a good cold snap. So there's usually a couple weeks where it's warm enough to have the door and windows open with no worries for those pests.
