And yet if you'd bothered to look it up you'd see that the statistic is still 3x in favor of women dying in child birth vs people dying in conflict in the past two decades. 3X.

The mortality rate of people giving birth has been steadily dropping significantly for, well, basically all of recorded^1^ history.

And despite that, it is still much higher than people dying in warfare. It is weird how many people in this thread want so badly for this to only be "ancient history" that they just assume it is.

^1^ - data that is actively tracking this, not all recorded history bothered to keep accurate records for this obviously.
