It's very easy to tell when someone's only impression of the soviet union just comes from movies and shows because this is up there with "In North Korea everyone has to push the trains by hand".
And these books say that Joseph Stalin "had a habit of literally and repeatedly exterminating the entire class of people that included scientists"? What class is that, exactly?
