Check your local social services department, you might have a mental health provider in your area that's government funded. You likely won't see a therapist right away – or often – when you begin the process, but it's better than nothing at all.

Wow I got three therapy appointments. I learned so much about mindfulness and CBT.

And it was years before I dated a trans woman again, so I couldn't even use the CBT.
