Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.
As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.
Thank you and happy chatting!

I think its just a fundamental limitation of sewer socialism or reform socialism or whatever. Especially without the threat of revolution. You can't take on the most powerful reactionary elements because you're playing a game that depends on their cooperation. You can't push them too hard, especially now, because there are far right revolutionary factions out there. So you're stuck going soft on police, stuck downplaying white supremacy, &c.
Revolutionary struggle is much more free to critique the system because it doesn't need to limit itself to bourgeois democracy. Elections can be a tool, but they aren't the only available avenue. Yes the stakes are higher, but so are the rewards.
