Been enjoying Steamrip and have been having issues getting games running on SteamOS.

Games launch just fine on Desktop Mode, but only seem to “work” if they’re in the background. If I have the system key pressed I can see the games loading or animations working properly, but the games are frozen when in Fullscreen or Windowed.

Tried swapping resolutions and running in Game mode, but it would continue to be hung in Desktop mode or stuck on the Steam logo when booting from Game Mode.

Also tried Proton Hotfix, Proton Experimental, and Proton 11.

Tried games like Pragmata, FF16, Big Walk, and Resident Evil 2.

Other games from Steam work just fine on both SSD and SD card.

I haven’t set Lutris up on my deck yet, but I think trying to run them via Lutris is the next step.

Edit: Oh and I tried the winelovers n,b %command% as well for FFXVI. Weirdly I had it working, and then it “broke” when I was trying to install a mod to get DLSS3 working and to get the cutscenes working with FrameGen so they wouldn’t drop to 15-25 FPS.

Edit 2: got PRAGMATA working. Disabling Steam Overlay seemed to fix the issue. I think I borked the FFXVI mods, so the game won’t even launch now. Think I broke something when trying to set up DLSS3 over AMD FSR. But I’ll reinstall from my external drive later and fiddle with it more in the future.
