MODERATORS
They are more of a thing in Asia, as well as in developing countries around the world where ownership of PC hardware is prohibitively expensive, not just due to lower incomes, but also because computer hardware is costlier and more difficult to get there than in the developed world.
Not only that, but PC cafes thrive in places where people could afford a PC but don’t have any room for it because they live in a tiny apartment. This is also very common in Asia.
It's not so much about the space, but rather the proximity with other members of the household: how can I play a frantic FPS online till 2am in the same (small) bedroom as my family member who starts work at 7am.
