MODERATORS
One of my old (read: retirement age) co-workers was an amateur boxer in his teens. One day when the club was leaving a footwork training session at the local dance studio, a street gang decided to have some fun with the 'sissy ballet dancers'. The next ten minutes taught them an important lesson.
I've done the same (not the street fighting), I got into ballet for my footwork but have just stuck with dancing in general they really go hand in hand together.
When you need to move in the ring you're not focused on how you look doing it, you just need to be somewhere and it's the complete opposite with ballet. Very humbling and something I'd recommend to anyone doing combat sports.
