Flashbacks of my childhood. My folks owned restaurants and they had no one working the dish machine for lunch. I would come in right from school this and a list of prep work.
I would catch up right around the dinner rush to do it all over again times 3... Needless to say my childhood and teens was my head in a giant sink scrubbing.
I was a dishy in my youth as well. The trick is to organize the pile, and spray it down to loosen the gunk.
Oof this hits home. I grew up on a ranch and always kinda resented having to work my whole childhood while other kids got to screw around but… being in a dish pit every day… I think I feel better now. Stay strong fellow child laborer💪
