I mean, the last one is actually true. ANY advancement in space travel is worth it. If you don't understand why, you are not thinking long term enough.
I will donate $10 towards the advancement of space travel if you blow a line of wasabi.
None of the stuff they develop trickles down to us, though. Certainly not for free. Unlike NASA discoveries, which were taxpayer funded. We had a stake in it.
If we're not here long term as a species how does it benefit us?
