Grass here grows so fast in the summer even though our temperature is similar because it's (thankfully) our rainy season. It dies back in the winter or at least slows way down.

Unfortunately our rainy season has not yet dug us out of the historic drought of the last couple years.

ETA we do not water the "lawn" though, it just does what it does. Is mostly weeds. I do water the food plants.
