We certainly don't want to pretend the bible is worth following. My christian mother voted for trump. It's a death cult. I don't think people outside the bible belt realize how bad it is. I am staggered by the inability or unwillingness of the average person to call out false beliefs when all lives are threatened by them. Things cannot get better as long as magical thinking is tolerated. There is no accountability.
