What a confusing headline. I don't think most reasonable people would know or assume that 'Libs of Tiktok' is a conservative hate group.

[-] generic_computers@lemmy.zip 56 points 1 day ago

Less of a group and more just a cunt named Chaya Raichik.

[-] tempest@lemmy.ca 33 points 1 day ago

Yeah I don't understand why the media doesn't name her.

Oh wait maybe I do...

[-] ChunkMcHorkle@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

Yep. It's rich given that the article says she "strongly objected" when WaPo publicly identified her as the founder behind the Libs of TikTok account in 2022. Just like all bullies, she can't bear even a fraction of what she dishes out on the regular.

It’s one of those iykyk things. I detest TikTok and refuse to use it (and short form brainrot video bullshit in general), but I’ve been aware of it as a hard-right channel/user/whatever for a while now.

When's the last time you ever heard a liberal refer to themselves as a "lib"?

[-] alekwithak@lemmy.world -3 points 1 day ago

I don't know any leftists that refer to themselves as liberal at all, so anyone who does accept the label I wouldn't know what they call themselves.

I'm a liberal and that's what I call myself.

I call myself liberal. I don't call myself a Liberal, capitalized. liberalism is the opposite of conservative. Liberals are modern Democrats.

There’s nothing gross about being a liberal.

[-] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Apart from enabling facsism, there is nothing gross about it.

[-] hanrahan@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 day ago

sure there is. bit the best label that I can applied is lesser evil

[-] Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Cool.

Don’t forget to vote in the primaries and mid terms this year I know I will be.

[-] Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

Sorry your candidates keep getting their asses kicked. Don't worry you still have John Fetterman though I guess. So enjoy that...

Remind me was John Fetterman the one that leftists were excited about then he turned or was he the one with nazi tattoos and a history of sexual assault?

[-] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago

This comment is not the flex you think it is.

[-] alekwithak@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Tell SaltySalamander!

[-] Tiger666@lemmy.ca 0 points 1 day ago

Do you believe in workers controlling the means of production?

[-] Chozo@fedia.io 13 points 1 day ago

Precisely the point. It's a literal false flag.
