I mean… you should put the lid (not just the seat) down before you flush every time regardless to reduce the airborne particles.
The number of people breathing their own aerosolized toilet water is too dam high!
Unless you're hermetically sealing your toilet lid with aftermarket parts, this number includes you.

It never occurred to me until now that a toilet tank is a great place for fun stickers.
When I was younger, my parents got a small pop-up pool. It wasn't long before the "NO DIVING - SHALLOW WATER" sticker that came with it ended up on the toilet.

That's not even the reason I do it. The way I see it, we both should have to do seat management before use. If I have to put the seat up, she has to put the lid up. It's only fair.
