Only Fans is quickly turning into a general platform for reaching audiences. So what if it started by doing porn, that's exactly what made VHS video tapes, then home video, catch big.

Isn't this what patreon is for? Why would they pick onlyfans over it? Does patreon take a bigger cut or something?
It gives them a free marketing stunt. This article likely would not exist if they had just gone to Patreon.
The issue here isn't the use of OnlyFans. The issue is that the USA is no longer funding science because of banned keywords.
