The sysmptom described is an energy saving mechanism of the human brain. I have seen no evidence that is any more pronounced in people with adhd.

I grow weary of everyone blaming everything in their life on adhd. We have special challenges, but when people blame a challenge that everyone has on adhd, it causes people without adhd to think adhd is a farce. You are helping that along by trying to gatekeep someone who is basically asking for a fact check.
