Depends on the change. If the pale horse brings not anguish but cancellation, I do not bar its entry.

Conquest, War, and Famine are almost universally a bad thing. And while an unlooked for Death can come as a surprise or tragedy, it can also be a mercy. I don't think I want to live in a world without it
I used to get disappointed when my plans were cancelled, now it usually comes as a relief. My feelings have changed as I've grown older, much like my attitude towards death.
Was that the intent of the meme? Probably not - but it does provide a bit more depth
