MODERATORS
Idea: horror game in which the protagonist has a modern, reliable, lightweight, high-lumen LED flashlight that basically turns night into day, with a modern batttery that can power it for 6+ hours. No stupid game-world limitations.
The world is populated with creatures that come out in darkness, but become more horrific and aggressively violent when exposed to light.
Do high lumen flashlights last that long? (Edit: Yeah, Google says they only last 45 - 90 minutes. Admittedly, that would get you most of the way through most horror games.)
It might be a cool game mechanic to balance brightness and field of vision against battery life, though.
