Now we have a Dead Space remake and Silent Hill 2, with more on the way, and of course a whole slew of Resi content, remade and original.

I'm sad about franchises that are still abandoned (would kill for Dead Space to get revived again or he Evil Within) but I'm happy about what we've gotten, even still.

Now that Glen Schofield (its creator) is retiring, I think it's a good time to reflect on this game that flopped.

Personally, I think its main issue was that it was all graphics and no substance. The gameplay got repetitive super fast and the story was both confusing and cliche / boring.

EA Redwood shores did a Simpsons game in which they referenced Dead Space, a year before the full game released, making this technically the first appearance of Isaac Clarke in any sort of media!
