Update 2 : got contacted by the mod, overall sweet guy/gal we agree to disagree and keep the ban up, who said that Lemmy cannot be civil
After Tesseract and now this, it raises a question. Do people that call themselves conservatives have to always be contrarians?
Literally any topic. There were issues that one would think everyone would agree on and they still surprise you.
They seem contrarian because half their ideas are outdated by centuries and against the modern commom sense.
Sounds a bit circle-jerky, but anarchists and socialists are just arguing "We could fix racism and homelessnes easier my way." meanwhile conservatives in the back are going "Prove racism exists! Also high homelessnes rates are actually a good thing because..."
Conservative brains typically have larger amygdalas, which are responsible for anger and fear responses. So yes, their brains reward them when they get angry, so they seek more occasions to get angry.
