The ICC was made to bring a facade of impartiality to imperial lawfare. Lindsay Graham (piss be upon him) gave the game away when he said "this court is for Africans and thugs." It's the 'impartial, respectable' face of empire in the same way that a federal court is the 'impartial, respectable' face of America's prison slavery system.

So the fact that the US is determined to dismantle it now shows what stage we're in. They put the ICC in an impossible position: say nothing and lose all credibility, or go against Israel and anger the US. This shows that the immune system of fascism has become so sensitive and inflamed that it can no longer stand the presence of it's own institutional camouflage, it's own skin. Liberalism was capitalism's skin, and now we're seeing the naked bloody musculature of end-stage capitalism, AKA fascism.
