I've been revisiting anno 2205, infamously the ugly duckling of the Anno series of RTS games. I don't mind so much the fact that it's different, lacks customisation and random map generation - I'm bothered because the game is so slow to progress through on challenge settings, and it feels like a game designed just to artificially waste your time; in other anno games, you can always pull tricks to dig yourself out of economic crisis - selling off assets and surplus goods, completing quests for other parties, or taking loans. 2205 is very very confined in terms of what you can do to financially recover in the early game and forces you into a lot of military events.

I've only seen a VR mod. What 3rd person mod did you use?

Not the OP, but I've dabbled around with this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/669

As far as I know it's the most (only?) developed third person mod for Cyberpunk.

My opinion is it's definitely a mod alright... Not that I think it's the author's fault. It's very clear that your character is using animations built for a first person rig, so you'll be missing a lot of movement from the shoulders to the hips. They tried to make a standard over the shoulder view, but it's locked to the first person camera position without any easing/acceleration, which is super jaring for me.

There do seem to be some related QoL/improvement mods around that might be worth exploring, but I haven't looked into them.

TL; DR: Overall the camera experience was too stiff for it to become my default, but I do occasionally toggle it on while walking from point A to B.
