Shut up no it won't be, i asked the lying machine if any significant work had been done to prepare for it and it said lots of stuff has been done and we'll be fine and i choose to believe its lies with that thx

you laught but things like the freedom of information act and congressional resolutions prove that this is literally how westerners -- americans in particular -- make decisions. lol

I'm actually not laughing I do wish to choose to believe that human civilization can survive a carrington esque event

iirc the lying machine said something about recent satellite launches maybe a couple years ago? to help set up an early warning system in case there's a solar flare that's Gonna Do That and iirc it said something like it would give government organizations and power operators at least a few minutes to turn off and disconnect critical equipment, plus other stuff

based on the state of the Texas power grid it's 100% cope but sometimes a little self delusion is necessary to stave off existential dread so I didn't interrogate those claims

i'm referring to the lying machine; it carries the same lies that westerners like to repeat to each other.

No way! Or would you like another more emotional way of expressing a negation to a statement that might evoque less resistance?

Final result: -No Way!
