micromobility - Bikes, scooters, boards: Whatever floats your goat, this is micromobility
Ebikes, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, longboards, eboards, motorcycles, skates, unicycles, heelies, or an office chair: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!
"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.
micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:
Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.
Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.
Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
I would expect rental bikes to only really be viable in busy places where there are a lot of pedestrians. Bikes are unsafe in those areas. Even a normal acoustic bike on a slight uphill is going to be too fast to share a path with pedestrians.
What we need in busy situations is 4 different types of trails. One for those acting like a pedestrian, one for those acting like an acoustic bike, one for that acting like a slow speed car, and one for those acting like a high speed car. Acting is important, often you can choose to operate in different ways. However these is extremely expensive and needs a lot of space so we almost always compromise and put two different uses into one and then the conflicts you describe happens: there is no easy/cheap solution.
