Assuming this is wood and not just a thin panel or vynil. You need to get the oils out so you could use alkaline cleaners like baking soda or bleach, or you can refinish the wood by sanding or planing the whole top and then using stain and clearcoat.
Or they could stain the remainder of the wood the same way this part was stained. ๐
