If the news makes you sad, why would you interact with it?
Ignorance is bliss. Just look at the Buddhists, they live peacefully, couldn't give a shit and do fine.
Not all Buddhists are detached from the world. Certainly the ones who self-immolate to protest wars like the US invasion of Vietnam were involved enough to make a difference.
It’s not all the time. It’s just an anecdote I had to relate to the post. I enjoy listening to the news while I get ready mostly.
