I imagine the contingent of reddit users who are still browsing exclusively via Old Reddit is pretty small. And the subset of that group who feels strongly enough to abandon reddit altogether for the Fediverse is even smaller. If there's any influx of new Lemmy users from this change, I think it will be hardly noticeable. Most users will just start finally browsing using the regular site.
