Personally, I 'stage' my machine the night before (I use one of the re-usable pods): pod in, lid closed, mug placed. Then, when I wake up/presence is detected in the kitchen, the machine 'wakes up', sets the brewer settings, and brews automatically.
It's stupid, but it's new and cool for me right now lol
That sounds so futuristic, and in a good way due to being completely local. Super cool. Also appreciate the mention of re-usabe pods.
Now, if only you could figure out how to have it make good coffee.*
*This is mostly intended as a joke, if you like the coffee it makes, great! Personally, I've only had bad, awful, bitter experiences with friend's Kuriegs, but hey, maybe there's a way to have them make good coffee as well that I'm not aware of. This does make we want to implement this with a bean-to-cup auto-brewer, but I'm thinking that'd be a helluva lot more complicated.
Fair enough, it's just that the whole point of these pod brewers is that they can make a cup of coffee from powered off state to finish in a literal minute so I hardly see the point. But "new gadget" is a reason I guess.
