Volunteer Trifonov Alexey Petrovich, born June 29, 1990, spoke about cases of alcohol abuse among servicemen during combat missions and stated that without the help of volunteers, the supply of Russian units would have been significantly worse.

The volunteer stated that military personnel consume alcohol in the SVO [Special Military Operation] zone, which forces commanders to take harsh disciplinary measures. He also noted that discipline problems and individual violations are no secret.

"Because they got so fucking wasted, holy mother of god. And right in front of me, this guy just shot up their Niva [car] with a rifle so they couldn't drive away."

In addition, Trifonov emphasized that representatives of the high command are not personally present in the combat zone.

Alcohol is kind of a poison by itself. If you supply a lot and they drink it all up, they will barely function after a week. After a few months they can't even function without it and health issues start.

You must have never met an alcoholic. People can function and be relativity healthy for years, even decades before the alcohol takes it's toll.

if they only keep a certain level, yes. but if they drink up everything you drop at the front and even now are already too drunk to get up, it's far from a functioning alcoholic. it's one step away from lethal alcohol poisoning.
