These aren't percents of a total - they are ratios relative to each other.
For simplicity let's say teach bar has a Min of 0 and a Max of 100. NOTE that there are no units. Bar 1 is set to 100, bar 2 is set to 70, and bar 3 is set to 0. This is absolutely valid. What this means is "for every 100 units sent to 1, send 70 units to 2 and 0 units to 3". In this case you can assign currency as the units. "For every dollar sent to 1, send 70 cents to 2 and 0 cents to 3".
No it's more like this: humble takes a 30% fee, then for the remaining 70% the user can decide how to divide in three parts.
So on this specific example, all of the three sliders go from 0 to 55.71, with humble that takes 23.88 in addition to the selected percentage.
So, if the user decides to give 33,3% to each one, the dev takes 18.71, the charity takes 18.71 and humble takes 18.71+23.88 fee
The sliders are purposely deceiving to pretend they are not taking the biggest slice of the pie
You are really picking at straws here to justify being mad. Most storefronts, Steam included, take 30%. Humble is also pretty transparent about how the money is divided up. When you attempt to adjust the Humble slider you will notice that part of the bar is grey. This is the fixed minimum cut that Humble has to take for operating expenses.

I'm not saying that they can't have a profit. After all they need to pay marketing, cc fees, bother with scammers/chargebacks and so on. Doing like before the IGN acquisition where people could put zero was unfair. I am totally fine giving them a fair share.
I'm saying that this slider is designed to be deceiving and pretend their share is minimal and not a third of that.
Not to mention that 30% is the minimum fee.

And in the slider it doesn't visually appear they take 45% but it looks like a 25% (I'm getting error 500 when uploading a screenshot)
