nurses, and doctors would likely have to take paycuts, or move somewhere else, wors they end up unemployed themselves. right now doctors and nurses are making bank in areas that are underserved(usually states that have largely ignored healthcare).

    The problem is that the shortage of qualified nurses and doctors is still going to be there.

    What I expect is that the role of nurse practitioner would become a lot more inflated if universal healthcare would become a thing for routine check ups and general practitioners. You may not see a doctor for your physical any more.

    Beyond that, a lot more roles would likely be opened up to cheaper staff as a way to relieve more qualified staff for specific tasks.
