The US govt popping the AI hype bubble by banning their most promising models from most of the world is so ironic; this seems a lot like the silicon chips getting banned from China incentivizing redoubled development efforts in China's chip industry, which is quickly innovating in significant ways.

US bans high-end rope sales to China, citing security concerns. Chinese firms are now making the world's strongest ropes, will be used in a mass scale project to hang capitalists.
