Which communites mods are over zealous with the ban hammer?

Which ones have bad mods?

For example:

  • No warning, just banning
  • Constantly berating people for minor rule infringement
  • Deleting posts
  • No discussion, decision is final
  • Having a different opinion

youve learned from your government

call people unpleasant words like "criminals", "cultists", "terrorists" and more and then you can try to shift public opinon

[-] madthumbs@lemmy.world -2 points 1 month ago

You conveniently left out 'conspiracy theorist'. -Peculiar.

[-] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 month ago

anyways want to actually have a conversation/debate where you dont get to ban anyone that agrees with you

[-] madthumbs@lemmy.world -3 points 1 month ago

We ban to spare us from dealing with people with poor reading comprehension, conspiracy theorist belief patterns, integrity issues, etc. No one is stopping you from posting your nonsense in every other part of the internet.

it seems like anyone trying to get a serious debate started gets banned

and windows is spyware

telemetry, recall, all that

[-] madthumbs@lemmy.world -2 points 1 month ago

^^ good example, thank you! Conspiracy theorists are often relegated to their little corners of the web.

you have relegated yourself to yours

you have a community of what 3 real people?

and you ban anyone that disagrees with you

and everyone else has you banned

[-] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 month ago

this is just a way to waive away all criticism

"oh, they criticise us, must be "idiots", so lets ignore them"

[-] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 month ago

its always a conspiracy until it isnt

[-] IAMgROOT@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 month ago

you can literally see the telemetry tab on windows.....

[-] madthumbs@lemmy.world -1 points 1 month ago
