had the oddest experience in a class last semester that I just remembered for some reason (lemmy.ml)

Our professor said something about the US having a lot of military bases and asked if anyone knew how many. I and this guy wearing an alligator alcatraz shirt who looked exactly like the type of person to do that both threw out numbers in the upper 700s which were pretty close to reality. We both looked at eachother and realized exactly why we each knew that and how we differed. There was that moment of realization, acknowledgement, and acception with a stranger that I am sure everyone has experienced at some point.
