Probably decent article except that the claim that avocados don't ripen properly when fridged is nonsense, haha. I buy 2 dozen avocados at a time, fridge them right away, and then have 3 out on the counter at all times; if I eat one, I set out another so that there are always 3. This method has worked for me for years with no problem. Their ripening process is only weird if you have them in there for a month or longer, basically. If you wait for them to ripen and then fridge them, they won't last anywhere near as long.
