It’s expensive and not as game-agnostic as I’d like, but Nvidia’s G-Sync Pulsar is monitor tech that we should, at least, keep eyes on.

I think we’re pretty far past diminishing returns on almost everything but contrast/color reproduction. Are there actually people unsatisfied with modern 120+ Hz monitors enough to notice changes in response time or have we officially entered placebo nonsense territory?

you're probably right, though I'm glad to see a new, genuinely gaming-focused display technology. not keen on vendor lock-in but maybe it'll prompt a competing (hopefully VESA aligned) standard
