Dull Men's Club
An unofficial chapter of the popular Dull Men's Club.
1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.
2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.
3. Avoid repetitive topics.
4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.
There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.
Some other communities to consider before posting:
5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.
6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.
7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

That's not the problem, that's his temporary solution.
You know how modern vehicles won't let the rear windows down below ~33%? Child Safety, and rightly so..
Someone rode rear driver side and forced the window down, like a fucking idiot.
Wat only like some cars have that. And it's not for kid saftey. It's bad design. If your kid is going to fall out of the car why the fuck are they not buckled in lol.
Yeah, it's usually because something like the rear wheel well obstructs the window from being able to roll down any further.
Probably just fucked the regulator. They aren't hard to change.
This one is unfortunately hard to change. To start, gotta get the window up to start unbolting shit. Well shit don't work, can't get the window up.
So, with no way to get the window up without breaking it, I'm hands-off on this situation..
Door panel should pop off easy enough so you can access the window scissor
That doesn't matter when the glass is blocking access to the bolt for proper disassembly.
What do, break glass?
Any door trim bolts won't be going in the glass zone. Once the trim is off you'll have some access points to try to bring window back into position.
Oh, to be clear, the main bolt in question is not a door panel trim bolt or screw. It's a main bolt for the window regulator, which sits behind the fallen window...

That's not the problem, the problem is I have to lift the glass to access the bolts...

How do lift the glass out of the door?
Nobody ever covers fun shit like that..
Is there a long tool with a hook you can slid down from the glass opening and pull window up? Like the tools for unlocking the door through the glass seal?
I would try to jimmy the window up first. Stick a couple pieces of duck tape to it and give it a yank up while hitting the window up button. If that fails, you'll probably have to remove enough of that inner panel to reach in with some dykes and nip the cable (you're replacing it anyways). But most likely they just broke the plastic retainer and it can be pulled up.
These ideas are a bit out of reach, though I get ya..
He's paralyzed on his right side for almost a year now, he doesn't drive anymore ☹️
