Consider what we've seen of how it gets used... what is an AI going to be, in practice, if not a "do the thinking for me" tool? And with the large context training model, how much power would it take to run?
If it weren't based on a huge computational input, and instead was maybe some sort of DNA-based information processing with the ability to internally understand concepts, would that be a living/thinking being with rights?
And like...we can already do that, by fucking. Its way easier than attempting sci fi science.
