Worf is the chief of security. It was an illegal search, you don't think they'd have some random security officer do it do you? Same reason they didn't use, say, Nurse Ogawa instead of Doctor Crusher.
I worded it badly, I am saying I appreciated the parallels the scene drew with other media and real life
Gotcha. I misunderstood, thanks for explaining a bit. I do disagree with the Klingons being a minority, though. It seems they breed and develop nearly as fast as their former mortal enemies the Tribbles 😂
