I've gathered that Hasan is either somewhat lib-leaning or is somehow else not a very good example of leftist ideology but I've never listened to any of his stuff so can't judge for myself. I'd consider the recommendation of someone within the hexbear community to be more reliable than my disorganized and uncategorized impressions, do you consider Hasan a valuable voice?

No one has ever shown me a bad take of his. I am sure he has some. He is in my mind a perfectly fine communist. He is also a gamer. The way I see it the gamer identity is more core to him than the comunist one. So all of us find him having the opposite polarity of autism infuriating. Especially cause he is hot rich and popular. It galls the sensibilities to have him looks maxx successfully

When he talks about official US enemy states, his takes are broadly good. When he talks about US election stuff, his takes are broadly bad.

he's trying to do schrodinger's entryism, and speaks electoralism when he's talking about elections. That's how you get support for the blackwater mercenary and nazi tattoo guy, which is among his biggest Ls.

Echoing what TheFinalCapitalist said, Hasan is for left liberals and progressives begining their journey towards becoming communists. He is acutely aware of his role in this capacity and therefore his message is tailored as such. He isn't perfect and has his share of bad takes, but he is ultimately a ~~very~~ valuable piece of the pipeline pushing people leftward and encouraging them to organize IRL via unionizing and getting involved with orgs like the DSA and PSL. If you're already on Lemmygrad/Hexbear, you probably don't have anything to learn from him. You may or may not like his content as commentary or entertainment, it's certainly not for everyone.

he is ultimately a very valuable piece of the pipeline

this is overstating it a bit, it's kind of unfalsifiable because it's not like we can accurately poll organizers, and it would be even more impossible to know if hasan is a driving factor behind someone becoming and remaining a radlib instead of going further left. A big emerging thing though is he's starting to use his stream to try and help move elections so that is something to keep an eye on. I think it's fair to say he's a relatively harmless source of entertainment and it's unlikely he's doing any significant harm to the movement, but I hesitate to say with certainty that he is a very valuable piece of a pipeline im not actually sure is meaningful.

I'll grant that the use of "very" there is overstating it, I have a tendency to do that, but a number of people here have mentioned that a noticable amount of people in their orgs cite him as a factor in them starting to move left and organize. I didn't mean to imply that he's the end all be all of moving someone left. He tries to move people into spaces where other socialists pick these people up and keep moving them along and keep them engaged in the work. That, plus seemingly the entire mainstream media trying to paint him as a demon means he's not completely ineffectual. The political establishment is afraid of him to some degree, maybe if only because he's started to really lean in to promoting candidates.

hes ok for what he is, a twitch streamer that has amassed a rather large audience. his good takes outnumber his bad takes, and does work with other leftist creators. considering youre here in the gradbear universe you probably have very little to gain from interacting with his content
