Amazing review. A buddy's mom got a miata during senior year of high school and we all clowned it. Till their parents went out of town on the weekends and leave it behind. That little thing put the joy in joyride. Only thing that came even close to it was an S2000, it was close, but not the same.
Sucks being tall. I can't fit in either. Well I can get in to get it on a trailer, but the mere thought of driving one for more than 10 minutes gives me phantom pain. The s2000 was my dream car when it first came out, them I sat in one. Oddly enough I fit in a smart car comfortably though.
Oh yeah, I'm not a tall guy but my left knee would still smash up against the bottom of the dash on every hard turn or shift. If I drove it for more than 30 mins I would cramp up to hell. Me n the buddies would alternate driving between locations (usually a beach) so we could take turns recovering in the passenger seat (which wasn't much better but at least the steering wheel wasn't in the way). Very fun car, but in small spurts. And the reviewer is so right, the suspension is rigid, but for good reason. Not an ideal passenger experience. The faster you go the rougher the ride, and by faster I mean anything over 30mph ๐
They really are perfect. I rented one for a trip down the coast with my wife weight distribution + just the right amount of power makes them very fun to drive.
Took me forever to figure out why your wife's weight distribution had anything to do with the right amount of power haha
All the junk in the trunk lets you put the power down
